Thank you for attending our 2nd Tehachapi Christian Women’s “Better Together” Conference “Holding on to Hope” held on April 18, 2015. We appreciate all your positive comments and helpful feedback.  Sheryl Geisbrecht was wonderful and we were glad to hear you loved her! She was blessed to be here.

We had women from 20 different Tehachapi churches attend the conference! Thirteen churches helped put the conference on. Women from Bakersfield, Lancaster and Arvin also attended. Praise God we are fulfilling Jesus prayer that “we all may be one as He and the Father are one!”

If you didn’t pick up your conference gift on the way out the door that Saturday, please stop by Country Oaks Baptist Church office and pick up your gift of an insulated cup.  COBC is open M-F from 8am to 5pm. We did end up with a few cups leftover so if you would like an extra one we are selling them for $5. Also, if you meant to buy a centerpiece but forgot, please reply to this email and I’ll be sure to pass on your info to our decorator.

To keep up with what is going on at Tehachapi Christian Women’s meetings, please check out…

We have been praying about when the next conference will be.  We’d kind of like to not do the Tehachapi Christian Women’s Conference the same year as the Kern Christian Women’s Conference (like this year.)  They go every other year, so we’d have to have another conference next year or wait 3 years to have one again!

Our two past conferences have focused on unifying the body of Christ and we’ve had the themes: “Love” and “Hope”.  We are thinking completing the trio of going with a “Faith” theme for the next conference. Do you have a favorite faith verse?  Reply to this email and let us know!

If you are a Women’s Ministry Leader and would like to be involved in planning for our next conference, please reply to this email and let me know so I can get you on our email list.  Our next TCW team meeting will probably be after summer.

The idea of holding a conference first came from Maggie Morgan of the Tehachapi Church of the Nazarene who had a heart to bring all the Women’s Ministries of all the Christian churches in Tehachapi together for support, encouragement, a sharing of resources and advice. She began calling the Women’s Ministry leaders from churches all around Tehachapi and we began meeting in January of 2013, quickly growing from a handful of ladies to about a dozen different churches joining in. We decided to call ourselves the Tehachapi Christian Women or TCW for short. Anyone who is a Women’s Ministry leader at a Tehachapi Christian church is encouraged to get involved.

In the fall of 2013, the Tehachapi Christian Women’s Ministries came together and held a Tehachapi-wide event for Christian women, “Love in a World of Hurt.

Teri Thompson was our guest speaker and about 300 women enjoyed the day.
